Fitness Thread

Who on these forums actually exercises?

What kind of exercise(s) do you do, how long per session, and how many days a week?

What kind of diet do you eat?


I've been walking at a fast pace (any faster and I'd be speed walking like an idiot) about five times a week for at least an hour up and down hills around my neighborhood, and lately I've been doing it between 1-3AM. My pulse is consistently within 70-80% of my maximum heart rate the entire time. I've been trying to motivate myself to start working out on top of the walking, but I'm not there yet.

My diet consists of whole wheat and dill rye bread, peanut butter, turkey lunch meat, american and pepper jack cheese, mustard, almonds, skim milk, granola and oats cereal, low fat cottage cheese, chicken breasts, salad, carrots, tons of water, tea, cherries, eggs, mayonnaise, and ranch dressing (a little fat is necessary in all diets). Very high protein, very low fat, very low sugar.

Oh, and the d-amphetamine helps too.

i usually work out like 2x-3x a week depending on my mood
then the other days i simply walk for an hour or two or go joggin a 1.5 mile

i eat EVERYTHING MUTHA FUKA
nutella, bread, rice, chicken, eggs, pasta

high carbs low protien and high in fat is my diet
high in sodium too

but i eat like once a day usually when i get really hungry, for some reason eating a bowl of spaghettii takes away the pai-err hunger for a whole day

Pasta is a very filling food. You should eat less fat and sodium, and increase your protein intake. You can keep your carbs, but eat them preferably before you exercise.

I got this diet where I eat anything I want but just have 2 meals a day.

It works pretty well and you can lose on average, 1.5 pounds a week like me.

I started doing it when I was at 187lbs last August and I got all the way down to 161 Lbs by February.

Right now I"m back up to 168 but I haven't really been exercising and I was working at a camp and had to eat 3 meals a day so I"m starting back with my exercise and 2 meals a day diet.

I'm just doing planks and push ups mostly. Although I probably will start biking to work on getting rid of my belly (I hate running).

I eat whatever I want, but I only want healthy foods usually, if I feel the need to eat something I either drink water or make myself a sandwich or two, it's extremely rare to see me snack unhealthy stuff.

My current training schedule consists of running/sprinting with my dogs and some random fitness exercises whenever I feel like it. Never have any muscle or joint pains anymore since I stepped down from what I used to do.

I can do the flagpole with stretched arms for a few seconds, it's extremely hard to hold it long especially if you weigh over 100 kg

Shyt... I actually used to be very active until I started to play games. I even gained 15kg extra partially because I had this certain medication that increased my appetite to an unbearable point. I started to exercise again about a year ago, so far so good. Lost 10kg already but now it's just kind of stopped x.x I used to make about 30 minute running session everday except on sundays. Have no idea how the hell I'm gonna lose this 5kg extra when my motivation is at 0% and my doctor would like me to start that same medication again.. Atleast the weather is pretty for running..

I used to exercise in college and it declined in my graduate studies, when I was too busy.

I used to work out 3 times a week by body exercises and pull-ups in the park.

My diet was LOADS OF BACON.

two bowls of trix cereal w/milk
5 slices of bread with nutella (take in mind 1 tsb of nutella = 200 calories)
a sandwich with ham and pepperoni
some candy
mac n cheese
french fries
meatloaf
chicken dumplings
hashbrown
2 biscuits with gravy
2 rasberry lemonades
sweet country ham
and for desert
blackberry cobbler pie with 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream (ice cream was vanilla w/pie crumbs mixed in)

i currently eat whatever i want. do no excercise other than my job. and am at a pretty stable weight.

  • Anything Golden Brown

Eat foods in the Dos and you'll inevitably get all your other essentials. And stay away from fruit drinks, because they're misleading. They're full of added sugar and have had their fiber stripped away. In fact, screw fruit altogether and just take a multivitamin. Fruit has too much sugar anyways.
