have you looked into crossfire with the new 4XXX series?
its not as pathetic as you'd think, and Price to performance its about even right now, however the 4870x2 is the fastest single card solution available, yes i realize theres 2 gpu's but they work as one unlike running 2x 1gb 4870.. you would get a significant increase in performance over a 2 card setup using a 4870x2

HDD - 2xwestern digital something lmao... doesnt matter what aslong as its sata and has a 16/32mb buffer on it (pull a medi if you wish and get SSD's)

other then that the only thing you cant forget is a good PSU any case can be made to have good ventilation but a good psu is extremely important or your parts wont work personally i use a 950watt silverstone strider (modular RULES!)

i use ati radeon 3870 x2 1 gig GDDR3 ram 2 processors and crysis runs pretty good

the 4870 x2 2 gigs of GDDR5 ram is supposed to run it amazingly

the 4870x2 is AMAZING seeing as your board sports xfire get one x2 for now, get a second later. go for a 9850 as the 9950 is just an overclocked 98 you can put the 9850 up to 2.8 on stock cooling either way.

ive got one AMD rig set up with a 9850 right now thats under liquid and i have it running stable at 3.5 gig, mind you thats liquid cooling and i have 3 rads, so theres alot more gain there.

What mobo you got? and what do you plan on getting for cooling
