Threads quite funny. I only want to correct one thing. Rapist is in no way "a god" in fastblading.

He was challenged to royalty. He actually came, guess he deserves kudo's for that. Either way, when we dueled I got him 10-5, which was actually good for someone connecting from America. We went to liberty for a second round where I lost with 10-6. So yea, technically I won with 1 point difference. He was quite fun to fb with, our duels with first to ten rules were always done within a minute.

The only sad part is that he is mentally challenged :/.

I don't have a clue but it does seem kinda logical that if you point out where the packet should go, it should go faster.

Either way, with "faster" it could mean a difference of 0.00000000001s, but hell do I know. I know jack **** about programming ;D

It appears you started with denial and edned up trying to sell it. The router will work faster once Port Forwarded, quite a bit faster you should know. It will lower latency,GET THE FVCK OVER IT!

This is a simple explanation how port forwarding works:
You have a router which is assigned an IP by your ISP. Let's say it's 99.99.99.99
You have 3 devices connected to your router, 192.168.0.2 (desktop PC), 192.168.0.3 (laptop), and 192.168.0.4 (smartphone).

Someone somewhere in the world wants to communicate with you, so he has to establish a connection to your computer. Let's say the communication is done via the HTTP protocol which is port 80.
That means that the person who wants to communiate with you is connecting to 99.99.99.99:80. Alright, so you have a service running on your desktop PC (192.168.0.2) listening on port 80 for incoming connections.

Now, when your router receives the connection request on port 80, which one of the 3 devices does it forward the request to? That's where port forwarding comes in, you port forward requests on port 80 to your desktop PC (192.168.0.2) so that you router knows who to send the requests to. And that is why it has nothing to do with you connecting to another server.

However, if YOUR computer connects to a server, let's say xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:5816, the router already knows where the packets from that server should go - with or without port forwarding, because you have already established a connection to it. Port forwarding only works "the other way around"

Your copy/pasting antics have failed you son as it fails to disprove my statement. How much time/cpu is wasted when you have to inspect every single packet to determine its destination? Wouldn't you think (I know thinking is hard baby it's ok :P ) that if your router did not have to check all of these packets and instead blindly route to a set IP, you would get better performance?

You can find port forwarding as a suggestion to improving latency in pretty much every popular game

Please explain to me how the router would know which device inside a LAN it should forward a packet to without inspecting the packet header first.
