Has anyone ever dealt with anxiety?

If you ever had troubles with anxiety, please share how you minimized it. I'm just not going to search that because it's just always the same result. So it's easier for me to ask here.

Hot beverages such as "Anise, Caraway... etc" are of a big help for me, also a cold shower helps a lot.

Always have. In many aspects of my life. Solution is just to force yourself to be uncomfortable, it takes time to improve anything. I suffered from pretty bad social anxiety, now I'm 100% fine, I forced myself into social situations and that took a lot out of me.. but eventually I got there and it became normal.

Think of it as lifting a weight, you can't lift 100kg without training, but you can't go from nothing to 100kg... takes time to build up that strength. Same for anxiety. Face your fear, simple as, hard to do and requires a lot of courage. Don't drink, don't smoke.. trust me you'll get a high better than either of them with the adrenaline rush and feel of accomplishment after wards. Start small, dream big.

Anyway if you tell me to suck your balls again you wont get any more help from me!

It's not about social anxiety. It's more strictly about home, work and school. As in fail? Get fired? Lose a family member? Etc.

I'm perfectly okay with my social status atm and my possible future career fits my character quite well. I don't smoke, I don't drink. I usually don't feel that "sense of accomplishment either" x.x. No matter what I do, still insufficient in my eyes. Well, I'm disconnecting internet for a month or two starting in December, to study more for exams absent any sort of distractions. Hope that helps.

Anyways, wuttt did I read down there? Never asked for that but I guess your interpretation is quite interesting.

Yes you did. Social anxiety was just an example. All anxiety is dealt with the same way, looking to the future, pushing yourself further than before and not giving up.

Only person who can change you is you. Never forget "Everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you" ~ Steve Jobs. Never give up or accept no.

Thing that keeps me going no matter what is simple. Nothing stays the same, change is happening always. Question is where will you go in life? You point the arrow, you forge the path or not. You can choose to sit back and be a spectator on life always wondering why, or choose to be the leading actor in your own life story... I don't want the credits to roll thinking "was that it?". Time never stands still, every second you get older and life draws closer to its end. You're alive for a tiny amount of time in the grand scheme of the universe. Carpe diem my friend..


I also rarely feel a self of accomplishment, at least at first... however as my 24th Birthday draws ever closer I reflect back on my life thus far and realise the things I've done and I'm proud now. At the time I wasn't. That's normal I think. Hardest thing for me is regret, and I regret a lot. I regret I didn't study harder, I regret I didn't have enough fun at university, I regret I never had the courage to ask a guy out who I was in love with. As long as you don't regret, then you're proud of your life without you even knowing it. I wish I had a time machine, there is so much of my life I would change. Reason I spend my days making a life I can be proud of going forward. Accomplishment is not achieved in a single step, which is why I think you can't feel it. Accomplishment is a process, on going.. only later down the line can you look back and say "well that was pretty great wasn't it".

I suffer from many issues. Count yourself lucky
