Forget I even mentioned defrag, buzzwords? toss' em lol Deleting "data" will improve performance no matter how much change it brings on performance you can't deny it will improve, go on and try your best and tell me it wont, either way, tiny or massive the data that's removed, it will still improve performance.

I think we're done here

They aren't running totally full hard drives. Yes, that will indeed affect performance.

Improve servers with better CPU's, more RAM and SSDs. Done. Oh and put that in a datacentre that doesn't suck.

I wonder if anyone could do a test with assets available (I'm being careful with my words here) on like Linode SSD servers, they're cheapish. Would be a cool test.

I was being a bit dramatic =/

You know this whole back and forth thing gets tiring. I forfeit, you win.

What did you think about the chi ranks though, I'm guessing you agree because you haven't comment on it?

Not losing performance does not mean that you gain performance

SSD in servers? Haha. Only if you like to throw money away.

No DBs in RAM is the "new" ****.

Eh SSD's are cheaper than ram and can be used in a similar fashion for storing quick access data. Obviously not as good as RAM for that job but much better than some other options, and less expensive. I store cache resources on SSD's, frees up ram for other things then = faster server. Of course I'm not talking about a gaming environment so yeah.. but still.

Agreed with everything even SSD, despite what the professor says.

Guys, you all are fighting each other for no reason. The only enemy here is the eye of TQ watching us from Mordor.

You all remind me of this scene btw.
