Ever since Ninjas came out, I've been seeing more and more non-tao classes re-allotting their points to get Thunder. This shouldn't be allowed. If I wanted to get fog, I would have to be a ninja, if I want herc, I would need to be a tro, why is it that anyone can zap people? We already have guards, so there is no need.

I remember a day where even hercing people was considered being cheap. Now people fog/zap and it's just one of those things that people do, to make up for their lack of skill and gears.

I think that thunder should not be allowed to be used by anyone who is not, or ever been, a tao.

People re-lot to have thunder to zap archers and to help them ss/fb a target. It's also used because its stronger than gaurds, so it can be used to kill targets.
It would be kinda hard to stop people obtaining thunder as you just gotta add 20 points to spirit....so if you stop it like that then means tao's couldn't have zap. Only way would be to put a ban on the skill books or just add them to the promotion npc's. If people had sense they could have nado instead of thunder =/

No they can't even if you buy nado from the pharmacist in market, or pedlar it still restricts it to fire taos.

From my experience, people use zap to kill people only. I've never encountered someone who uses both SS/FB and thunder. Usually its a combination of Fog and Thunder. Fogging is ok, because you need to choose the ninja class, during one of your 3 rb options, so it's fair, and makes sense. Maybe we should make it that only taos have the option to use mana, and thus are the only class that can up their spirit attribute.

Stop it from being clicked? Just dont give the non tao chars the option of gaining spirit, by removing it from the list of attributes, for those chars.

Also don't forget warriors, trojans, and maybe a melee water used it for poison zap.

TQ could solve it pretty easy without screwing water taos.
Taking fire out of the shop would make water taos mad. However, taking out THUNDER from shop will not. Reason: Thunder is what all magic classes start off with.
This way nobody that hasn't been a taoist in at least one life could use Thunder (Zap). And they could not use FIRE either. Reason: Fire requires that you have fixed Thunder.

However since they put Thunder for sale, it is clear TQ wanted non-taoist classes to zap. Nobody that is / was a tao needs to learn it from there.

Non tao classes having zap was around way b4 the ninja ever came into play.

Non tao classes would re-allot points to have zap for long distance gaurd attack.

Points can be re-alloted to where ever a player wants for the cost of a db...they pay for the re-allotment and so should be able to get thunder no matter wat class they r.

Part of the glory of "rebirth" brings in too much of the Buddhist philosophy of the process. When one becomes reborn, they learn new things, and one of these (at least in Conquer Online) is the ability to use magic. Of course, it can't be as strong as that of a tao. for they'd lack any real potency in it for not actually being a tao.

And yet a trojan beat a fire tao that was 2nd rb O.o Just by zapping.

if a tro defeated that tao with just zapping, the tro was more powerfull...

there are only 3 trojans capable of killing me with zap, and they would all need to get 2 pzaps in a row for that to work...

so i can honestly say, THAT THE TAOIST WAS WEAK

this has nothing to do with archers, simply the fact that the taoist was weak if a tro could zap it to death
