The first son bought a bag of feathers. The second son bought a bag of rice. The third son bought 2 objects, however. The feathers only filled the room a quarter of the way full. The rice only filled it half full. The third son's gift filled the whole room entirely with his items. What did the third son buy?

That riddle (or w\e u want to call it) is silly, since it could be pretty much anything, and the ammount of money they have at their disposal isn't clearly defined. So it all boils down to guessing the right answer.

Opening up a big bottle of compressed helium or [insert name of gas here] would fill the room up quite easily.. so that's also a correct answer lol.

2 bags of rice?... lol Since one bag filled it half way so if you buy one more it would fill it completely...

Would be two bags of rice, not feathers, if you wanted to use that logic.

I would invest the two coins, personally, and brag about how well I did so much that my ego would fill the room.

Honestly just buy some water and the rice will expand and fill the room. Or burn the house down and fill the room with smoke and ash.

I thought about two bags of rice.

But if the second son bought a bag of rice, I guess we can assume it takes two coins to buy one bag. So the third son could only buy 1 bag also, unless he has good bargaining skills.

Ok, I have another that I dont actually know the answer to. But we'll know the answer when we get it.

Pretty much, there is a guy, and he wants to get a house built. And he's willing to pay a big long bar of gold for it.

Now there is a builder that can build the house in seven days. Neither of the two trust each other; the builder for the guy to pay him the whole bar, and the guy that if he gives the guy the gold first, he will finish the house.

So they worked out that each day, the builder will be payed a portion of the gold bar for his work. So 7 days, and 7 smaller gold bars.

The problem is that the gold bar is cut with a scythe/knife or something, which can only be used to cut the bar twice before it goes blunt and can't be used again.

So how does the builder manage to get paid every day?
