which monk combination is still good at pvp events?
water-war-monk or pure monk or other builds

In my opinion, Water-War-Monk is a good option. You get Deflect and Stigma. Another good option may be Pirate-War-Monk or maybe Pirate-Water-Monk for the Gale Bomb skill, with this you may stun the target for 2/3 seconds or so and with the monk skill Triple Attack you may kill them in one try.

If you have an epic weapon my favorite thing to do would be Blade + Bead, yes you lose a lot of stats due to your STR requirement, but using Whirlwind Kick and quickly swapping to Fast Blade is really useful, you have time to get a guaranteed hit with Fast Blade and if you're fast enough you could probably get a second hit.

I'd guess so, as I have yet to see a win a team event without one on a competitive server. And unless you think you'll win epk with that silly monk of yours, you should go pure.

If you really want to go something PvP like with a triple attack, go Pirate. That class got more attack, better tools to hit triple and is able to play for points (thunder+pistole). Also a BT chain is better than a plam chain. + next epics are for pirate so they will get a buff hopefully.

without shackle is almost useless

Yeah, monks are still fine.

Pro's and Con's to both builds. Pure monk, you have shackle, water-war you get stig + reflect. So pick whatever you prefer. All the other builds are ****.

If you're good at palm + triple, monk is totally viable and a good attacker. The new epic bead + shield combo is pretty good for 1 v 1 and some other situations as well.
