Instrumental Metal?

Are there any good instrumental metal bands/songs out there? I have a very, very small collection. Dream Theater, Russian Circles, and Pelican are mostly in my tiny playlist of instrumentals (excluding guitar solos I rip from Youtube)

I've listened to BS_Detector's FM playlist and it has some excellent songs, it's just... I love heavy guitar rifts and honestly, I'd listen to a lot more metal if it weren't for the vocals. v_v

The, dare I say, "demonesque" growling and high-pitched screaming that's present in most metal songs is just too much for me. It's difficult for me to enjoy the technical skill of musicians when I has a bear roaring during the song, no offense. :x

So if any of you could provide me with some sick instrumentals, that'd be excellent.

Most instrumental "metal" bands tend to be on the lighter side of metal. Here's a few to look into though.

Canvas Solaris (as previously mentioned).
Jeff Loomis.
Blotted Science.
Exivious.
Behold... the Arctopus.
Carcariass, although not all of their stuff is instrumental.
Sleep Terror, some of their later stuff has lyrics though.

BTA is an acquired taste though, no doubt.

My suggestion to you, try Thrash. No screaming/growls but with the same instrumental intensity you want.

Mayhem - From the Darkest Past. A whole instrumental CD without the growling.
