Just get a cosigner newb. Once you get on a loan as a cosigner, making the payment helps your credit. The problem is if you **** up, you can ruin both yours and the signer's credit.

Don't get a car loan. Save up 1-2 thousand dollars and buy a car that will get u places. Then save up and slowly trade up. A 1-2 thousand car won't really lose value, so it can be traded in + more money for a better car as needed.
