I've watched that anime before. The gore is for all ages. Generally male. But in effect hentai is generally for the younger crowd because us adults get the real thing.

Not all kids are 6 yo. Back when I was 16, I knew classmates who used to watch hentai for jerking off purposes. Now that I'm 20 something, I barely know anyone who watching anime anymore.

I've been to a couple anime conventions so I know the adult viewers are out there, but using a hentai as an example for adults is a bad example.

Anime is not just for kids, there are animes for certain ages.
