There was a thread like this some time ago, from a guy wanting to do something similar with a Logitech keyboard.

TQ said it was still classed as a 3rd party program giving an unfair advantage and it would get you jailed if caught.

Just dont use obius **** like AutoHotKey and stuffs, if you got a keyboard with own macro feature, TQ shouldn't have anything to say in that mather.

You could just answer then, whats wrong with buying an keyboard with extra features?

Also: auto-click jail, which has been removed since you now go to botjail, was meant for click macros. A click macro imitates a mouse/keyboard. It has high chances of it being detected as a macro.
I know why they removed the clicky jail. pathetic...

When in doubt use a hardware rapid fire keyboard/mouse. It is absolutely detect-less since it is built into the keyboard/mouse.

Ok, official answer is yes, that would still be considered illegal, as it is definitely a macro. It doesn't matter what you use to enable the macro, it's still a seperate program that can automate your actions.
So in other words, yes it would be, and no you shouldn't use it.

So lets say there was a Co2 keyboard, useing it would be illigal becouse its considered as "3rd party"?, and dident have normal buttons configurations?

If you think about it, using a programmable mouse/keyboard that, say presses F1 (uses pots) when you use your scroll wheel on your mouse is kind of like what some people did in the past, when you were able to hold down pot keys and it would keep using the pots. What they did was to like, tape their F1 key or something so it would always be pressed down, thus always using a potion whenever it was needed.
I don't really see how that's illegal though. I mean, I used that "trick" myself during server maintenances, putting an object on my "Enter" key so that it would automatically keep trying to re-login until the server was up (this was a long time ago when Market spots mattered and pking market noobs in TC was a big deal though)

Back in the day, you could get jailed for taping down a hotkey as well. Let's say water elf for example. People would tape down/budge their hotkey where they had water elf on and afk train it all day while selling in market or just afk in their home. Some people would actually get a GM there to either a)jail you (used to cost gold, not cps/dbs) or b)disconnect you. Good times. I miss training XP skills in market.

holy crap then I have been illegal for 2 years lol. I pot with a button on my mouse, connected it to f1&f2. ah well, i'm not botjailed for it so I doubt its illegal. If that's illegal, then so is pressing left and right click as a mouse doesn't count with the co program . not even a damn macro, just a mouse setting :0
