Read literature. Honestly, reading books in a language is the fastest way to increase your vocabulary.

Instead of documentaries, which will mostly use technical words, rather than obscure vocabulary words, I would suggest finding novels in a genre you enjoy.

First English book I read was harry potter and the Deathly Hallows :x second was Brave New World (school assignment) now I prefer to read books in the original language ( so English mostly)
