Penetration - Level 9 (FIXED)

First of all...Hi to all
This is not a new topic...
I just wish to share with everybody my experience.
As much the posts are the same as before...
They are arranged chronologically

Hopefully this thread will stay until I have Fixed the Skill
here I go...

I created Aithe on November 13, 2004
I was still thinking of what kind of a Trojan will she be,
until I asked Xiao Chen, among the weapon skills,
which would have the largest damage,
she replied "Dagger-Penetration."
I doubted her at first,
until I did my own research...
From my browsing and reading from the forums,
Daggers were the most unwanted weapon
and the skill is insanely diffucult to level.

I got curious.....I started Aithe's Double Dagger Leveling from
that point. She started off with 2 Normal Daggers, until
other players in our place started supporting me and gave me
2 fixed daggers.

At that point, I was unaware when to purchase the Penetration Skill, It was when she was already Level 34 when I started with my Penetration.
Then "Hell" began...
I managed to Level Penetration from Elementary to Level 1 in only 5 days.(how?)
-I used fixed double daggers(Level 50 with Dex117)
From Elementary to Level 1, the percentage is a little bit decent.
so I did not have problems Leveling it..of course,
It was no logging off during that time.
I played 5 straight days.
This was how I looked like during my Elementary Level(Penetration)

I eventually had a problem with the skill itself.
This was because It was powerful.
It actually made a decent kill among monsters, once
the skill activates.
So I decided to browse the forums and look for alternatives
on how to Level Penetration in a better way.
-It was when I came across a thread which says
"You can Level weapon profeciency with Kings,
just make sure, you find a King that does a damage of 1 to you."

That is what i did, and eventually It became my pattern.
Aithe stayed with the Bandit Kings for most of her time until at
Level 67 she made it through Elementary.

Level 1: Here is an actual screenie when Aithe managed to
reached Penetration Level 1

At level 1, I can already feel the increase in damage.
So I eventually looked for another King that would not die faster
compared to the Bandit King.
But at this time, some other players are already bullying me.
It was because, I was using daggers.
So I even try hiding the King, by luring it at ends.
Nothing here was special, I just went to Kings and
piece by piece, stroke my fixed daggers.
(Bandit King and RatKing)

Here is Level 2
Aithe was Level 78 when she made it to Level 2

Okey, It was Level 2 already..
Then "Hell" just got worse...

Penetration Activation was getting slower and the percentage
started to decrease..at Level 2 going to Level 3.
It was like 0.001 per activation.

If I compute it right it's like 1000 activations for 1 percent
25.000 +1000activations = 26.000
sometimes it skips..it gives 0.002
but the process was hard.

during this time, I have no options for Moongems or any
item that can help me activate penetration faster.

Until I stumbled across a faster method of activating it.
I noticed how, an Initial Attack seems to activate Penetration
at the Beginning.

So I started to do more effort:
This is what I discovered by attacking Kings yet
resetting the Inital Attack on every Attack.
-Place "Sit" or "Kneel" at a hotkey(mine was F1)
-Hold F1 while Attacking
-I'm still using Fixed Daggers(because of DEX 117)

During the Leveling Process, I set my fixed daggers to rest when
my reserve Elite Daggers Out"DEX"ed the Fixed ones.
I forgot what Dagger level was it.
I forgot to note it..but that is what I did.

Here is Level 3
Aithe was Level 101 when she made it to Level 3

During those times, It was impossible for me to have possessed
those Moongems for Penetration Leveling.
So I managed to find alternatives.

Aithe never actually relied on any other Item to Level her Penetration, she went through "Hell" and back again for 4 times.
but now!!
I can afford Moongems...I can even afford to buy socketed Gears
If I wanted to.
I also read that thread about Moongems and skill leveling.
I was actually laughing when Aithe managed to Level
Penetration without any Moongems.
Here is an edited pic of Aithe right now..to show her Daggers.

Continuing with my Story...
Aithe went back to "Hell" again this time...
she was faced with even a bigger problem..
it was a fixed 0.001 per Penetration activation.
So it was SOLID! 1000 activations per 1 percent!

Aithe is currently Level 111 and she has been left
behind by the other characters.

In between the Actual Level 4 screenie:

I will tell a story of how I discovered that
Penetration has
something to do with the
position of the character.

Aithe was now Leveling her way from Level 100 to 115
until she stumbled across a weird situation.
She was in Mystic Castle trying to isolate the Bat King.
So she has to position herself to a spot where the Tombats
would actaully, not reach her, both Tombat and
TombatL103(Blue Bat).
It was when I noticed that there seems a spot where
Penetration activates more often compared to
another spot.

I was skeptic about that theory, because, during that time
Aithe was busy
(Sit+Attacking, Accuracy(XP Skill) and using Double Daggers)
to Level her Penetration--->sorry got no Moongems

So I stopped my technique(stated above) then started to
observe that "Spot Theory"

It actually Worked!!!
Aithe's activation was faster! with no MOONGEM!!!!
I also tested this with a Club and it also worked.

FARTHEST/NEAREST DISTANCE FROM ATTACK RANGE
1) Let the monster attack you from it's distance
let it come near you.
2) Slowly distance yourself from it(both farthest or nearest)
also try jumping around it to find yer "Spot"

but still you can attack.

Try it, It will also help you level Penetration Faster with
or without Moongems

This is not a chosen screenie just to prove myself.
This was a lucky screenie pressing F12 continously
Penetration activates at it's farthest distance from the King:

For those having a hard time understanding the "SPOT"

here is a brief explanation:

1) "SPOT"
Try jumping either farthest or nearest to the King.
if the skill activates immediately, that means
that's yer "SPOT"

2) on yer "SPOT" you can now increase activation
further by the (kneel/sit + Attack)

that simple....I just told how I discovered it in Story mode.

-that's a proverb I made related to what happened to me...
Okey....

I was having trouble Leveling Penetration
because it takes 2 activations for 0.001%

So I went to the market, then decided to sell some stuff...
I made 3KK+ of money...just wasted 7 hours sitting on a mat.
(Finally!! I have money to repair my equips!)

I got tired of just vending so I decided to shop around...
guess what??

4 Refined Moongems are for sale:950K, 850K, 780K and 900K
Total Value: 3,480,000<----there goes my money

PROBLEM:
-where to put them??
-In my 2 Super Gold Daggers+4?? No Way!!(they lack sockets)
-and those daggers have Super Dragon and Super Kylin!

The +4 unique dagger was my previous dagger with 2 Normal
Dragon gems....there goes the Dragon Gems...enter
the 2 Refine Moon Gems..

The Horn Dagger was originally just a
2 socket Spind Dagger(level 15)
-Given to me by a friend way back 5 months ago

I just upgraded it to a Horn Dagger from my stock of
Mets I got from Kings...
-Bye bye Mets....

Update:
Aithe has encountered some problems along 65% going to 94%.
She has no more funds to repair her equips.

Why:
She bought a Super Moongem
in which was near the actual amount of her funds
Aithe is now left with almost 350K.

Scenario:
1) 350K on her bank,
2) each repair costs 250K from head to toe..
3) She can't hunt for money cause she has to
stay focused on Penetration
4) Too proud to beg too ashamed to ask

Solution:
1) Oh well....just continue..maybe a prince charming would
come and save her day when she needs repair money.

Actual Events:
1) No Prince charming came along
2) She even lost her Elite Attack Ring due to loss of Durability.

That was a bad omen!
Losing my Attack Ring due to loss of durability!!!
maybe training Penetration was getting to be boring for me.

Low on funds.
A broken Elite Attack Ring(<--Thank God I havn't added +'s)
Either way it's still an ELITE Attack Ring..Dang!
All of the durability of my equips went lower than the Max.
got no Prince Charming to help me(financially)

Level 5
Aithe is still 112 during this screenie
with her bank soooo dried up..^_^
Anyway, thanks to F!rEsPr!tE for witnessing the
Level up from Level 4 to level 5...
