And it's million, not billion. Anything marked in billions on that was in yen, after conversion, not nearly what you think it was.

Did you not hear about the massive earthquake in japan?

You do realise that a very large proportion of Sony's physical assets reside in Japan, and as is explained in that document they had to spend a large amount of money replacing and repairing physical assets, not to mention paying out life insurance policies.

They also state that insurance will cover the majority of the losses they incurred as a result of this incident.

i do, and i did. it even says on page 23 that japan has the biggest revenues. still is a huge loss tho...
