I'd like to request a close to this thread, reputation is for respected players, not *****'s who ask for it.

I'd rather see people earn rep, then ask for it.

That's true. But in case they want that system to really work, they need to completely remove all kinds of reputation farming and they need actual Moderators to keep an eye on it. It's hard because how to define rep farming. They could make it so you could only use 1 rep in every 24 hours but that doesn't work that well either because people wouldn't stop rep farming - they'd just make these "I owe pep to" -lists and pep back day to day.

A real reputation system would indeed be good.

Yeah. But in for example epvp it does work (the karma system, I think)

So don't rep back, if you are deserving of he rep. Then you don't have to give it back

not allowing people to write messages would work(thats how epvp does it right?? havent really been on that site before =x)
but then how would you know why people reped you for??

Then there would be two kinds of people:

People bragging that their rep is pure and deserved.
And people who've kept on doing rep farming and have tons of bars and are liek "OMGIHAEV12KKREPUTATION"

even if i don't rep back other people would still rep farm
you can't stop everyone from giving rep back privately
