What does HBO stand for and where do you live?

Netherlands and HBO in this country is like... university in the US I guess..

We have the primairschool as basisschool
Highschool as middelbareschool
Highschool/university as ROC
university as HBO

Im not sure lol, just guessing :p

But what do the letters H B and O stand for? :p

H = Hoger?

B = Beroeps?

O= Onderwijs?

Why would it be easy for a Belgian guy to guess what HBO means in another country than his? :confused:

Cause in Belgium they speak Vlamish and thats like Dutch only a cheap copied version.
